FILM + PHOTO

Along with design, I have a Bachelor degree in film & theatre arts. Below is some of my work from my time as a student at the University of New Orleans, as well as some photography done in my free time.

I believe film & apparel design relate closely to each other through the elements and principles of design that correlate to all art mediums. My design process is often inspired by film, music, photography, and other art forms due to the lines, shapes, color, textures, and rhythms that are present. I aim to create eye movement in my designs and therefore, I tend to look at art in motion, such as film, for inspiration.

All film was shot on a Canon 80D DSLR camera and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.

All photography was shot on either a Canon 80D DLSR or Canon Mirrorless RP. The photos were then edited in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

All photography present on the website was taken & edited by me.

60 Second Place | Documentary

This was an assignment given in my Documentary Class at the University of New Orleans. The assignment was to use at least twenty sound effects and twenty frames in order to establish the environment of a place in one minute.

This is my great-aunt's kitchen.

Cica & Fefi, who were the inspiration behind this project, were also the inspiration behind my senior apparel design collection. Please view the COLLECTION page to learn more about them and the designs.

This was a class assignment where students were partnered up with different artists or organizations across New Orleans. I partnered with Krewe de Lune to give an inside look of the excitement, dedication planning that goes into each Mardi Gras season. The final product was also published on NolaVie.

The above design was created in Adobe Illustrator

The design was then imported into the Shima Seiki software to create a 1x1 jaquard knit design
The design was then knit using a Shima Seiki machine. Color appears slightly different than the initial designs due to available yarn options
Photo was taken on a Canon 80D and edited in Adobe Lightroom + Photoshop
