SENIOR COLLECTION

CICA + FEFI
Designed by Stacey Cambre, Cica & Fefi is a resort wear collection for the summer season. Inspired by her grandparents, Ilona and Frances Brem, Cica & Fefi balances a mix of Hungarian folk and coastal elements with a '60s flare. This collection highlights the importance of sustainable fashion by focusing on the longevity and versatility of garments. Each garment is designed to mix and match across the collection, with all garments being reversible in contrasting warm and cool color schemes. The designs also contain removeable or transformative elements to prolong the life of the collection. Each piece is unique through its embellishments, such as hand-crafted embroidery, floral appliqué, and beading techniques, thus making a statement in both aesthetics and environmental impact.

"REVIVE" EMBELLISHED JUMPSUIT

Please click to view full image.
Inspired by the culture of my hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The jumpsuit contains a boned bodice, lined interior, as we as hand embellishment techniques - such as beading and feather application. Flat pattern methods were used and the design was created to fit the model's measurements. Approximately 60 hours were spent on beading. The bow and feather cape are removable to transform the jumpsuit into a different look.
UPCYCLED MUSIC DRESS
Please click to view full image.
This dress was created for an upcycled project for my draping class. The shell of the dress was drafted from a princess bodice drape and a flared skirt. It was constructed in recycled upholstery leather. The guitar picks were created out of old gift cards and painted. The round midriff cutout and gold circles on the back of the dress were cut from a broken drum cymbal. The flowers on the front and back were constructed from guitar strings.
I am always heavily inspired by music throughout all of my designs, but I wanted to emphasize my love for it more visually.

PERSONAL DESIGN PROJECTS
LSU GRADUATION DRESS
Above is the dress I made for my LSU graduation. The dress consists of two pieces - the strapless dress base and the bow shoulder overlay. The base of the dress is beaded and embroidered with all white embellishments to allow for the dress to be worn for other occasions and to get more use out of the garment. The bow overlay consists of the white beads and embroidery as well, but it also contains purple & gold beading to represent LSU. The dress was designed for myself and the waistband is embroidered with "Stacey Cambre", while the overlay right side is embroidered with "lsu 2023 tam" to represent my college department of Textiles, Apparel Design, & Merchandising, as well as "apparel design" is embroidered on the left side for my major.
The dress consists of a princess strapless bodice and a flared skirt, attached together with a 2" waistband. The bodice also contains an interlining muslin layer with boning. The overlay portion of the dress was custom measured to sit just off the shoulders. The removable overlay was also designed with the idea in mind that I can still wear the base of the dress under my gown without it being too bulky from the bow overlay. The self fabric of the dress is made out of matte satin and it is lined with bridal satin. The base of the dress has an invisible zipper down center back and the overlay contains no closures.
This dress is very special to me as it represents all of my favorite components in fashion since I first started sewing for fun over ten years ago, as well as the skills I acquired during my time at LSU.
POLKA DOT MIX & MATCH TWO PIECE
This 100% cotton set was created with flat pattern.
The skirt is flared with an invisible zipper down center back.
The bodice has no closures, but contains elastic encased along the top and bottom edges of the garment. The bodice contains one ruffle (as shown) with a layer underneath that sits closer to the body and stays still due to the elastic.
This set was designed to mix and match. The top also pairs well with solid pants or shorts. The skirt can easily be paired with a graphic tee, sweater, or blouse.
